Whether enhancing flexibility and releasing stress or as a tool to awaken your spirituality, yoga will help you discover gifts of peace, harmony, laughter and love within yourself.

 

 

Enlightened Way offers:


Core Yoga

A class that emphasizes awareness in the core to help strengthen and tone the abdominals and stabilize the spine to promote a strong foundation and deeper connection in your body.  Asanas are sequenced to activate core power to build internal heat along with longer holds and proper alignment to improve posture, strength, stability, endurance, flexibility and self-awareness.  Pranayama and meditation exercises will be explored and integrated into the practice to develop mindfulness, focus, and mental clarity.  All levels are welcome. 

Gentle Yoga

A quiet, meditative class combining gentle postures and restorative poses. This class is perfect for those new to yoga, seeking a slower pace, or with physical concerns or injuries.

Mixed Level Vinyasa

Mixed level classes are available for all levels of practitioners. Vinyasa classes link breath with movement, flowing through a series of yoga poses to increase strength, flexibility, balance, vitality and detoxification. All mixed level classes incorporate posture alignment, while teaching the importance of breath and core strength. Allow yourself to gain inner awareness, shift mind/body habits and find joy in your practice.

Yoga for Every Body (Mixed Level)

A class that welcomes and honors all body shapes, types, and sizes. Explore postures, pranayama, meditations and mudras at a level that feels comfortable for you! Learn to honor and appreciate all parts of yourself and the beautiful body you were given.

Power Yoga

This vinyasa-style class connects movement with breath and is designed for those who have some knowledge of yoga asanas. Build stamina while your body becomes strong, organs are toned and your mind becomes steady and focused. Class will always end with deep relaxation.

Gentle/Yin Yoga

This class is not just for beginners but for anyone wanting to explore postures in a deeper way to further sense the connection between the poses and their physical benefits. Breath work will be emphasized as a tool to stay connected while moving through the practice. Relaxation techniques and meditation will be threaded throughout the class.

Yoga for Wellness (Mixed Level)

Explore the healing aspects of yoga. Learn about the “toolbox” that yoga provides us to navigate in the world we live in. Postures, pranayama, meditations and mudras will be explored. This class features a longer Savasana, which incorporates chimes and other instruments during some sessions.

Yin/Vinyasa Yoga

This class blends yin yoga (longer-held passive poses focused on going deeper to connective tissues, joints and organs) with vinyasa yoga flow (active, fluid posture sequencing linked with breathwork).  This balanced practice is both warming and cooling, nourishes the inner and outer layers of the body, and harmonizes with the changes of seasonal and life cycles.

Mixed Level Yoga

Designed for every body, this class provides a wealth of yoga poses,  meditation techniques, mantras, and breathing exercises. Students are guided through a body-centered restful awareness approach that can be taken more deeply or gently depending on the needs of the individual. This class is designed to help unite body, mind and spirit, allowing for alignment with the magnificent rhythms of nature.

Just Stretch

Treat yourself to a stretch! Come listen to upbeat music and discover how great a few simple stretches can help you feel. We'll focus on different areas of the body each week and learn how to breath for greater relaxation and stress release. This class is perfect athletes, tight bodies and for all fitness levels. Lighthearted and fun! 

Private Yoga Sessions

Private therapeutic yoga instruction is available for those with chronic conditions who would like to discover the specific ways yoga can help. It is also available for those who would like to learn some basic information before entering into a class setting or for those who would like instruction in setting up a private practice or who are just more comfortable in a one-on-one situation. These sessions are by appointment only. Please call to discuss your specific needs and a time for your appointment.
